BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – (KBAK/KBFX) — Adventist Health is helping families and their children across Kern County with their unique mobile clinic. Think of it as a doctor’s office on wheels.
When you step inside an Adventist Health mobile clinic you are transported to two doctors’ offices where immunizations can be administered to children from birth to 19 years old.
Lucy Mata, the mobile clinic practice manager emphasized that this is a busy time of year for the clinic.
“We do operate year around, but our peak season is back to school and summer time,” said Mata. “Normally we do take appointments for children over the age of six. We welcome all little ones under the age of five with or without an appointment.”
Mata said appointments take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes in total. Making it a quick and accessible appointment for busy families.
The mobile clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but the clinic does pop up at events on the weekends. Mata said the clinic works to make the clinic flexible and accessible for all families.
You can find the mobile clinic’s schedule online at adventisthealth.org. To book an appointment call the clinic at 661-637-8777.
