Raising funds for local member hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and health care services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $120 million to Change Kids\u2019 Health to Change the Future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-left article-text\">\u201cGame Day is an opportunity for you to enjoy time with family, friends, and fellow gamers \u2013 both ones you know and some you just met \u2013 in the name of helping children in their greatest time of need,\u201d Mason Dowling, program officer for Children\u2019s Miracle Network Hospitals at Marshfield Clinic, said. \u201cWhether you play for a couple hours or a marathon, all-day session, your video gaming hobby can truly benefit other people on Game Day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-left article-text\">Game Day is Extra Life\u2019s biggest fundraising day of the year. Saturday is the day when all Extra Lifers are called upon to fundraise to help kids in your community. When fundraising dollars are combined with the rest of the Extra Life community, Extra Life can help 12 million kids every year receive the treatment they need. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-left article-text\">Whether it\u2019s digitally or at home, thousands of gamers \u2013 including some in central Wisconsin \u2013 will hop online for 25 hours of nonstop gaming with all proceeds going to the Children\u2019s Hospital of the streamer\u2019s choice. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Last year, gamers in and around Wisconsin raised over $9,000 for kids at the Marshfield Children\u2019s Hospital, and this year they\u2019re hoping to go even further than that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-left article-text\"><b>Ways to get involved<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li><span><b>Live streamers<\/b> \u2013 If you\u2019re a streamer, you can host Extra Life charity streams on Game Day to ask your subscribers, viewers, and community to make donations to your fundraising page.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li><span><b>Game communities<\/b> \u2013 If you\u2019re part of a tabletop, roleplay, or board game community, organize a special fundraising event and invite your gaming club to donate and\/or help plan and host the event.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li><span><b>Living room gamers<\/b> \u2013 If you like to play games with a small group of friends or family, schedule a special day that everyone knows will be a special fundraising Game Day.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li><span><b>Esports teams<\/b> \u2013 Organize a tournament where the entry fee is a donation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li><span><b>Casual gamers<\/b> \u2013 Whether your thing is sports, canasta, or something else \u2013 you can fundraise on Game Day, too.
